Thermal scan of 248,000 modules at a 120 MW plant in Karapınar completed in three days.
The plant management wanted to find the source of annual production losses. Over three days, a fleet of KR-6 Gözcü aircraft scanned 380 hectares and found 1,742 anomalies.
Findings
- 412 hot spots (ΔT > 20 °C), 96 of them critical
- Production loss at 38 string level
- Average 2.1% efficiency loss from soiling
Using the prioritised list, maintenance cleared the critical faults within two weeks and plant output rose 3.4% the following month.
